Meetings

Township meetings are held the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month except November and December. Due to the holidays, the Board will meet once during these months on the 2nd Thursday. Due to COVID 19, meetings are currently being held at 7:00 PM at the Carlos Town Hall.  The public is welcome to attend, however, the board is following masking and social distancing protocol. If you have an issue that needs to be addressed, please contact the clerk by the Saturday before the meeting, and she will place you on the agenda.

Important Information

The General Election was held on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at the Carlos Town Hall at 210 Victoria Street in the City of Carlos.  Bill Krivanek was re-elected as supervisor with 1068 votes along with three write-in votes for other candidates.  Rebecca Anderson was re-elected with 1082 votes along with five write-in votes for other candidates.  Tamera Schwegel was elected to fill the vacated Treasurer’s position that was held in the general election of 2020 with 1065 votes along with one write-in candidate.  She had been appointed by the board to fill that position and will service in that capacity for the remaining of the term ending in 2024. The township also had added a question to the ballot in which the township residents were asked to vote on whether property owners should be charged to remove snow and ice that is placed in the township right of way, if it was deemed to be hazardous.  The vote was 838 yes and 456 no.

Snow Removal:   At the town board meeting held on January 27, 2011, it was decided that if there is less than  2 inches of snowfall, the road maintainer will not be plowing snow.

Road Maintenance:  The Carlos Town board awarded the Road Maintenance Contract for August 1, 2022-July 31, 2024 to R&R Ready Mix.
